Job Opportunity:

The company is currently seeking a passionate Head of Quality. This role is crucial to the development of their Lithium cells portfolio and involves overseeing the Li-ion cell process and production quality as part of the IPCEI (Important Project of Common European Interest) initiative. Working in a demanding manufacturing environment, this position offers numerous career advancement opportunities in the rapidly growing battery manufacturing industry in Europe. The successful candidate will have a significant impact on product and process development, from the initial concept to A and B sample production on the cell pilot line.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive quality assurance and quality control processes and procedures for lithium-ion battery production.
- Lead a team of QA and QC professionals to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Assist with the installation, commissioning, and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) of the pilot line.
- Implement corrective actions and preventative measures to enhance product quality.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications, such as ISO, CE, etc.
- Collaborate with Material, Cell Design, and Operations teams for the establishment of labs and the pilot line.
- Utilise statistical methods and quality tools to analyse quality data and generate reports.
- Work closely with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards for raw materials and components.
- Develop and deliver training programs to QA, QC, and Production teams on quality standards and best practices.
- Support the Cell Production team in the establishment and day-to-day operations of the pilot line.

Minimum Qualifications and Personal Attributes:

- A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, or a related Engineering field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in QA/QC within the lithium-ion battery industry or a related field.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) at a C1 level is essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with experience inMat Lab, MiniTab, StatGraphics, or similar software preferred.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Eligible to work in the EU and, where applicable, completion of military obligations.
