Project Development Manager -Solar/BESS/Wind - North England
Piper Maddox are working with a renewable energy business that have just gone through a major round of investment from an extremely reputable firm which have no say over how the companies culture looks, they are purely there to fund and nothing more. This means they have kept autonomy over their people first business which they have always prided themselves on.
As part of their fast pace growth ambitions they are on the look out to expand one of their office locations and add a Development Manager to the team who will be working on 3-4 projects in different areas of the life-cycle at any time. This will provide constant new challenges on a daily basis to keep your working life varied.
In terms of progression this role can lead you to opening up new regional offices for the company. This is something which the company are looking at doing further down the line as they acquire more development projects via M&A due to the Onshore Wind policies changing in the UK. This is a team that emphasize how close they are, and how much they enjoy working together to see everyone succeed.
By way of flexibility this role would not require you to always be in the office and they would be open to how often you come in depending on location and meetings.
What would your day to day look like but not be limited to?:
-The aim of this role is to effectively get projects from the beginning through the whole development life-cycle, and passed onto the construction team.
-You will be working with the directors to give insight on development to the wider team.
-Ensuring relationships are kept together with external stakeholders.
-Making sure that project documentations are to a great standard and can be presented back to project directors (looking at things like budgets, H&S, risk management etc.)
-Keeping in line with project targets.
This role would be more than happy to consider people from energy backgrounds who have worked either in consultancy or another developer. If you have worked in a planning background and have a project management mindset which can be demonstrated you will also be able to apply for this position.
