Finance Lead - Robotics Start-up

As the Finance Lead, reporting into the Operations Director, you'll be at the heart of our financial strategy, ensuring sustainable growth and guiding the company through its next phase of innovation.

In this role, you will:
* Lead the development and execution of financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling, to support strategic decision-making.
* Oversee financial reporting and analysis, providing key insights to management through detailed income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
* Manage cash flow and liquidity, ensuring smooth financial operations while optimising working capital and cash reserves.
* Implement robust financial controls and compliance procedures, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and regulatory adherence in all financial operations.
* Identify and mitigate financial risks, developing strategies to safeguard the company's financial health.
* Evaluate investment opportunities and capital allocation decisions to maximise returns and enhance shareholder value.
* Lead tax planning and compliance efforts, optimizing the company's tax strategy and ensuring full compliance with regulations.
* Support executive decision-making with financial analysis, assessing strategic initiatives, investment opportunities, and resource allocation to drive the company's growth objectives.

What you bring:
* ACCA certification (open to other certifications such as CIMA or CPA) and experience in managing finance teams in hardware-centric businesses like automotive, robotics, logistics, or manufacturing.
* Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling particularly in start-up or high-growth environments.
* Strong analytical skills, with a track record of preparing and analysing financial reports to provide actionable insights.
* Expertise in cash flow management, ensuring adequate liquidity while optimising working capital.
* In-depth knowledge of financial controls and compliance, with experience implementing internal controls to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.
* Familiarity with financial risk management strategies, including identifying and mitigating risks to protect company assets.
* Experience evaluating investment opportunities, with a focus on optimizing returns and enhancing value.
* Knowledge of tax planning and compliance, with experience in tax optimisation and regulatory adherence.
* Strong business acumen, with the ability to provide strategic financial analysis and support to executive leadership.

Piper Maddox have recently partnered with the worlds largest renewable energy organization in an effort to continue the build out of their Electrical Engineering Division.This organization have more than three decades of experience, operating on (almost) every continent and in more than 10% of the countries on the planet!Operating exclusively within the Utility Scale space, this organization operate across the full development lifecycle, including Project Development, Engineering, Construction, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and much more. They work across the entire Renewable Energy Eco-system, including Solar, Wind, BESS, Hydrogen, Clean Fuels and much more.In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities including:Collaborate with other internal stakeholders from various teams such as Procurement, Construction, Design Engineering and others to ensure proper levels of Electrical Testing are being completed prior to project kick off.Lead/ Manage third party contractors.Work on Substation Design Engineering tasks.The ideal candidate for this position will have a background similar to the below:A minimum of 5 years industrial experience working as an Electrical Engineer within the Renewable Energy world (Can be Solar, Wind or BESS).Prior experience working on Utility scale projects.
