I've partnered with a developer of brownfield battery storage projects seeking a Development Director.

 

The Director of Development will lead the development of a diverse, robust pipeline of utility-scale brownfield Battery Energy Storage projects. They will work with the development team members and other disciplines across the company to ensure projects are hitting key milestones towards a successful completion.

Seeking candidates who can:

• Develop a pipeline of brownfield Battery Energy Storage
• Lead diligence activities including vetting projects for environmental, financial, interconnection, permitting, and technical constraints.
• Negotiate with vendors to complete various, development related scopes of work.
• Negotiate permits, tax and other project related agreements.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, project partners and other stakeholders.
• Prioritize work to meet project deadlines, budgets and goals.
• Professionally represent the organization to various parties including landowners, vendors, local officials and other stakeholders.
• Reporting to management as required.
• Ability to travel to various project sites in the Northeast U.S.

This is a fully remote role requriing the candidate to travel on site when needed. To allot this, we are requesting candidates be based out of the NY, NJ, PA or CT. 

The compensation band for this role ranges from $180,000 - $200,000 base with a discrertionary bonus and benefits.

This is one of the leading players in residential solar, having been founded in 2009, and they've been picking up their market activity exponentially over the last few years. With over $1BB of capital raised already, and an established $150MM tax-equity fund, and 170MW of operational assets spanning across 26 different states, they have positioned themselves quite competitively for the next decade. They are also actively engaging in a number of long-term partnership discussions with Fortune 500 organizations, from both an asset and software perspective, so their capabilities are definitely multi-faceted beyond simply homeowner energy production. They are looking for a VP/Director of Capital Markets to act as the deal-lead for the organization, manage the origination, execution, and management of tax-equity financings in order to underwrite their project pipeline effectively, and deepen the relationships with these financiers further, to ensure long term partnerships are in place. This Operations and Deployment Specialist will Play a critical role in the commissioning and start-up of the companies first commercial plant overseas and subsequent plans globally. They will serve as a key operational link with external licensees to facilitate the adoption and implementation of the companies proprietary technologies. This business itself, a startup in the space has created a g roundbreaking technology to decarbonize the chemicals industry around the world. Job Qualifications: This is a brand-new position, making the candidate the first member of this team. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations. Requires a self-driven individual who can effectively hit the ground running in a dynamic environment. Background in ethanol manufacturing is a plus. Extensive travel is required, with a schedule aiming for 2 weeks on-site and 2 weeks off. The role promises significant engagement across various functions, with potential leadership opportunities in the future. The role is pivotal to the global licensing and establishment of multiple new plants, aiming for the development of 10-15 plants in the future.
