Senior Grid Engineering Manager

International IPP working across wind, solar and BESS.

Location – Offices in Milan & Rome offering hybrid working.

Salary - €70,000- €80,000.

Senior Grid Engineering Manager role with a leading IPP, who are looking to grow their team through this crucial addition to concentrate on the communication with Terna and Enel. This IPP focuses on building and operating a diversified portfolio of wind, solar, energy storage assets across Europe and the US with this role being based in their Italian branch.

Within this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of 3 people and manage the project design for their strong pipeline of projects in Italy. This role also is able suitable for individuals who are more aligned with a hybrid working style.

Key Responsibilities:

-          Managing the grid connection processes through communicating with Terna and Enel for their pipeline of renewable energy projects.

-          Secondly, a key part of this role would be supervising and coordinating the internal team of engineers and the external engineering consultants.

-          This role will concentrate on the electrical design and layouts for the projects focusing on HV and MV systems.

-          Overseeing the full lifecycle of the projects starting in the development phase through to the construction phase. This will include supporting teams throughout the construction phases and relevant stakeholders in this process.


Your Profile:

  • You must have high voltage experience, preferably from within an EPC or IPP.
  • Existing relationships with Terna and Enel, with the ability to confidently oversee grid connection projections. You must have experience liaising with industry bodies for grid offers.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities, time management and ability to solve problems.
  • Fluent in Italian & English.
