Piper Maddox have recently partnered with an EV Charging Infrastructure organization that partner with a variety of customers including Commercial Properties, Retailers & Municipalities.

Together, we are searching for a number of Lead Electricians to join their team across the US. Positions range from Florida (Jacksonville, Orlando, Miami or Tampa) through to Georgia (Atlanta) and Texas (San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, Houston).

This organization offer both Level 2 & Level 3 (DC Fast Charging) options, they cover the full project lifecycle which includes site design, site assessment, engineering, permitting and O&M services.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic equipment and fixtures used in the petroleum industry using hand tools and power tools.
  • Trouble-shoot and diagnose malfunctioning systems or components using the appropriate testing equipment to find and correct the failure.
  • Use of ohm meter, volt meter, amp probe and megger is required
  • Install conduits, pull wire and make final connections to circuit breakers, petroleum pumps, dispensers, Point of Sale consoles, tank monitors and petroleum lighting.
  • Inspect electrical system and components to verify compliance with safety requirements, codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirements. Verify proper operation of the electrical system.
  • Advise management, customers and fellow workmen when hazards are present and when electrical systems are safe to operate.
  • Assist estimator with material take-off, material cost and labor allowances.

Background

  • A minimum of 1 year experience, can go as high as experienced foreman. 
  • Experience working on EV installation projects would be highly valuable. 
  • Licensed in the relevant state. 
  • Strong knowledge of the various standards and codes.

The role will involve electrical engineering and design activities across high-voltage infrastructure, grid-connected energy projects, and associated electrical systems. The successful candidate will bring practical design experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively as part of multidisciplinary project teams. Your RoleAs UK Expansion Lead, you will be responsible for driving the growth of a leading European electric vehicle charging business and supporting its mission to accelerate the transition to electric mobility.In this role, you will lead the expansion of the company’s network across the UK and Ireland, with a focus on securing prime locations and developing a high-quality portfolio of fast-charging sites as part of a broader European growth strategy.In concrete terms, this means you will: Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of three Expansion Managers, creating a culture of ownership, collaboration and strong execution.Develop and execute the UK expansion strategy, strengthening the organisation’s position as a leading EV charging provider.
