Over the past year, this leading company has secured over $1 billion in new solar projects and ranks among the top 50 Solar EPCs in the USA. With a remarkable portfolio of over 55 solar projects totaling 4.5GW, they are shaping the future of renewable energy.

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Senior Estimator to drive the success of our client's solar projects. This role is integral to ensuring project efficiency and effectiveness through meticulous analysis, strategic planning, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of contract documents, including isometric, as-built, and engineering drawings, to determine project requirements such as bonding and insurance.
  • Scheduling: Develop and manage critical path schedules with milestone dates and completion timelines to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Cost Estimation: Complete comprehensive quantity take-offs for labor, equipment, and materials. Review pricing and bid validity, addressing price escalation and project needs.
  • Bid Management: Lead the pricing for general expenses and project-specific requirements. Oversee final bid submission and tender documentation.
  • Risk Management: Conduct risk and opportunity analyses, working with the chief estimator to integrate findings into the risk register.
  • Liaison Role: Coordinate with external consultants and project management organizations to estimate budget requirements and manage the tender development process.
  • Historical Analysis: Assist in analyzing historical data and benchmarks to refine estimates.
  • Client Relations: Monitor client-specific success criteria and provide solutions to meet business and revenue goals.
  • Team Leadership: Hold team members accountable, encourage creative problem-solving, and advise on strategic pursuit initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent trade experience.
  • Experience: 12 years in construction cost estimating with 12 months of onsite experience preferred. Proven experience leading pursuits valued up to $250 million in various delivery models.
  • Expertise: Deep knowledge of bid preparation principles, including quantity take-off procedures, contractor procurement, and pricing. Skilled in contract terms and risk identification.
  • Construction Knowledge: Understanding of different construction methods, planning, scheduling, and potential issues. Experience with self-perform estimates and productivity.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team of 5 estimators. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with owners, peers, and industry representatives.

Position: Senior Project EngineerWe are seeking a hands-on Senior Project Engineer to drive the development and implementation of our innovative clean energy technologies and solutions.
