Aftermarket Service Manager

Piper Maddox has partnered with a world leading generator manufacture to support their new cleantech initiative. As the world is aggressively implementing sustainability targets, the backup power generator industry is faced with a immediate need to switch to sustainable means. Our client is at the forefront of this transition and they have founded a dedicated division exclusively focused on developing the next generation of clean backup power.

Our client is searching for two Aftermarket Services Managers to separately be responsible for their Northern California/Texas residential and commercial markets. This position requires travel out of your home office throughout your region 30-50% of the time (you must be based in Nor Cal or Texas) and a company car will be provided at no cost to you. You will serve as the face of our client’s new division for all post-sales support and service related matters in your territory.

You will be responsible for…

  • Distributor and dealer channel development (e.g., training customers, managing dealer performance, dealer prequalification, etc.)

  • Collaborating with the business development group to approve new vendors and thereafter developing and executing strategies to enhance distributor performance

  • Providing informative technical support and training to distributors, as well as ensuring successful delivery and implementation to the end user

  • Providing rapid onsite support to channel partners and end users

  • Managing and enhancing aftermarket service strategies to gain further market penetration amongst existing and new distribution channels

You will have…

  • B.S. in Business or Engineering with 3+ years’ experience in a relatable industry (power generation/clean energy preferred)

  • Strong experience onboarding, developing and managing distribution channel partners in the power/clean energy industry OR experience in project/program/product management

  • Familiarity with electrical pipeline principles to manage the resolution of electrical and mechanical issues

Our client is a very well established company which provides you immense stability and exceptional benefits, but this new division is a new venture for them. You will get the perks of working in a ‘startup’ environment whilst reaping the benefits of working for a massive corporation.
