Piper Maddox is looking for an Agreement Manager for a growing Energy Storage market in their North Region that includes the Caribbean, USA and Canada. The position will report to the General Manager, Regional Operations North Region.

The Agreement Manager is accountable for overall performance of the assigned agreement customers including agreement renewals, upselling, customer care and lifecycle services delivery during the lifecycle of the agreement. This includes driving financial, operative and technical performance of customer installations, identification of customer pain points and addressing those with corrective actions. The Agreement Manager will also secure customer investments and minimize related financial risks and ensure customer profitability by proactively identifying performance improvement measures.

The Agreement Manager will work closely with the Energy Storage & Optimization (ES&O) Sales & lifecycle management organizations to ensure a seamless process from project delivery into lifecycle support.


  • Commercial and overall performance of assigned agreements including renewals, upselling, and lifecycle margin

  • Operative and technical performance of customer battery energy storage system, identification of customer pain points and addressing those with corrective actions

  • Identify performance improvement measures together with Expertise Centers and Business Line

  • Collecting receivables in a timely manner

Main responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with assigned agreement customers

  • Understand what is important for assigned agreement customers, their specific business drivers and how our offering can help to minimize risks in operations and performance

  • Create and conduct warranty risk mitigation plan with supplier warranties

  • Create internal and external resourcing plan for maintenance and warranty delivery in conjunction with Expertise Center

  • Proactively communicate with assigned agreement customers to ensure all pain points are identified and all needs are addressed

  • Proactively propose new solutions, performance improvement programs and upgrades to assigned agreement customers to ensure increased reliability, availability and efficiency of battery energy storage systems

  • Identify potential issues to prevent events causing revenue losses

  • Ensure accurate estimations / forecasts according to lifetime as well as annual budgets / estimations and comply with contractual obligations

  • Cross collaboration with Expertise Centre as well as local field services team and sub-contractors / suppliers

  • Maintaining customer related data in CRM

  • Maintain and update data in agreement financial planning tools and contract management tools

  • Perform Customer Experience Management, customer satisfaction survey, and elaborate action plans based on feedback from assigned agreement customers in order to improve customer satisfaction

  • Gather market intelligence data regarding customer requirements for Battery Storage

  • Plan, lead and manage operation and maintenance activities at the plant and assigned team

  • Ensure that the performance targets of the plant are reached according to the contract

  • Ensure competent resources and competence development within assigned team

  • Ensure that the condition of the plant and equipment are according to applicable guidelines and policies and take corrective actions when needed

  • Ensure that the work is executed at plant according to Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures

  • Implement Contract Management action plans, processes and guidelines in the assigned responsibility area

  • Identify and actively seek to improve operational and maintenance reliability and availability of the plant

  • Identify process improvement proposals for ES&O Lifecycle Management

  • Develop the operation and maintenance working routines at the plant

  • Maintain good internal and external stakeholder relationships


  • Candidates must have at least seven (7) years of experience in contract management and administration, preferably in the energy generation industry but other industries will be considered

  • Demonstrated success in managing, writing, reviewing and negotiating complex / non-standard agreements and large contracts is a must

  • Solid knowledge of legal and contractual laws governing projects would be an advantage

  • Understanding of energy systems and energy dispatch
