​Are you an expert in the world of OEM's? Piper Maddox has been engaged on a search with a growing company in the Renewables Industry. They are a Developer who also owns and operates their own products. These products are battery storage systems that are programmed to know when to buy and sell excess energy to buyers on the grid. With an exciting product, this means they are growing and looking for an Applications Engineer to join their team. Their projects are based in Downstate New York City and they are looking for individuals in these areas for a hybrid job, but also open to remote workers.

Responsibilities:

- Interacting with grid interconnection and individuals in areas of switchgears, inverters, etc.

- Being the first interface with OEM's, design firms, subcontractors, project managers, permitting administrators, interconnection engineer, etc.

- Sourcing and equipment configurations for switchgears, transformers, batteries, solar panels, solar panels, ev charging systems, inverters, etc to optimize price and performance

- Understanding and researching new trends, roadmaps, managing RFQ's about pricing and adjusting bids

- Working out solutions from start to finish

- Ensures all site specifics, mandates from AHJs and utilities, codes/standards and regulations as well as technical supplier product requirements are factored and integrated in the design.

Qualifications:

- Willingness to travel

- Earned Engineering Degree

-Minimum 5 years of experience in similar fields

- Experience hiring and managing small teams

- Preferred to have experience in Renewable Energy projects

- Preferred to come from a developer background
