Piper Maddox is working with a leading provider of growth capital to the independent sector of the U.S. renewable energy, clean-tech, and oil/gas industry to help them identify a talented and driven Associate.

The world spent a record $501.3 billion in 2020 on renewable power, electric vehicles and other technologies to cut the global energy system’s dependence on fossil fuels.

My client understands that renewables are the fastest-growing source of electricity generation in North America, and that over the next two decades, U.S. electricity generation from nuclear and coal is projected to decline from 47% to 14% while renewable sources are projected to grow from 18% to 37%.

We are working with a team focused on investment opportunities in management teams and projects involving proven renewable technologies, such as solar and wind generation and low-cost battery storage systems.

They have a new opening for an Associate to support the Managing Directors, Directors and Vice Presidents in all aspects of the Company’s business and across their current portfolio.

The responsibilities related to the current portfolio will vary depending on the status of the investment and its management but will include ongoing analysis of asset quality, asset value, capital efficiency, communications and opportunity evaluation.

Specific responsibilities of the Associate include:

  • Analysis and review of opportunities for the current portfolio and new transactions

  • Developing detailed financial models and valuation scenarios for investment opportunities

  • Assisting in various due diligence activities for transactions and fund raising efforts

  • Support legal documentation

  • Preparation of investment memorandums

  • Continuous client relationship management (i.e. working closely with management teams)

  • Preparation of various presentations

  • Performing and disseminating applicable industry research

  • Supporting the investor relations staff

This is an incredible opportunity to work with a business investing in cutting-edge technology and with a mission to drive forward the energy transition.
