​Piper Maddox has been engaged in a confidential search by a quickly growing energy-focused asset manager. They were founded in 2019, and have already built out four highly comprehensive divisions - Investments (public & private), Investment Banking, Research, & Consulting. Each of these division's offer specific services associated with their named discipline, all within the context of optimizing the specific energy consumption, distribution, and management processes for their most active accounts.

Because the organization doesn't own any assets themselves, and assumes more of an advisory role for their partners, the product in this case is really the people that make up the organization, and the higher-level analysis and strategy that their holistic mindset can offer their customers. They are truly equal parts advisors, investors, and partners with their clientele, and have been doing something right as evident by their over $16BB in capital deployed across all energy sub-sectors.

Additionally, while many similar organization's operate on a "growth at any cost" type of mindset, this company couldn't be farther from that; because the people are the product here, they are valued accordingly as W/L balance is something that is required for optimal functionality.

They are looking for an Associate, Strategy Consultant to sit directly under the VP of Strategy Consulting for the organization. This person will be playing an integral role in supporting the business Strategy Consulting function through performing market research, cultivating relationships with stakeholders, and ultimately offering strategic guidance to their most active accounts.

The ideal candidate would have:

o 3-6 YOE in strategy/commercial consulting OR IB (energy sector)

o the ability to be based in Houston
