Title: Business development manager (EV)

Reporting to: Head of Sales - EV Charging Solutions

Location: UK Field Based - Nationwide Coverage - Commutable to Milton Keynes preferable

Principal Objectives:

· To research, identify and evaluate new business development opportunities to expand our solutions/service portfolio

· Support the Business development director in key account management

· Produce sales forecast through our CRM system

· Meet agreed sales targets in line with UK and Group budgets

· Work closely with the marketing team on Leads, PR, Advertising, Articles etc

· Evaluate customers knowledge and requirements to them educate and build long lasting Relationships

· Attend meetings, sales events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments

· Deliver presentations to potential and current customers

· Maintain knowledge of the competition within the sector

· Complete and process Quotations

· Support the submission of tender documents

· Liaise with other external parties beneficial to the business (DNO, ICP, energy providers)

· Work closely with colleagues to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to required specifications

· Preparation and deliverance of management reports

Skills & Abilities:

· Strong interpersonal skills - ability to interact with internal and external customers at all levels

· Excellent communication skills

· Good planning & organisational skills

· Methodical and analytical with the ability to produce accurate and detailed work

· Problem solving - ability to work and advise on a diverse scope of issues

· Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision

· In-depth knowledge of the industry

· Willingness and ability to continually learn

· Proven sales experience

· Track record of over-achieving sales targets

· Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM

· Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT etc)

· Demonstrable negotiation skills

· Teamwork is essential

Preferences

· Minimum 5 years experience in a sales or business development type role

· Minimum 1 years' experience in the EV Charging industry preferred
