Our client is creating a digital solution to help their customers, the product developers, to start, fund and prepare their carbon offsets projects in half the time.
Our client is looking for a Carbon Project Development Expert to be part of their leadership team, to work directly with the product owner to provide specifications on the carbon offset development process, through either nature based or techno sequestration-based methodologies
Role responsibilities:
You will provide expert insight into the project development process
You will specify a certain given methodology and the input required for feasibility studies and the development and completion of a Project Design Document
You will structure a Project Design Document based on the outcome of your research
Take the lead on the consulting function for a Project Design Document, either outsource or insource
Experience required:
You will have recent experience in developing a carbon offset project(s)
You will have completed feasibility studies and a Project design document – with a preference for nature-based solutions
Ideally you will have worked with at least one certified Voluntary Carbon Market
Strong understanding of a minimum of one carbon methodology
Prior experience in sourcing new carbon methodologies
You will have a wide network of project developers and other key people in the carbon management world
Preferred but not essential experience:
Degree in engineering, bio science or similar related field
Experience dealing with carbon offset investors
You will be a passionate about searching for ways to reduce the temperature of the earth’s atmosphere.
You will be interested in working for a startup organization where you will have your ideas heard and implemented.
Although part of a startup you will have the backing and support system of one of the largest energy organizations across the world.
This will be a fully remote role, with the ideal candidate on an Eastern Time zone, with travel to Montreal for team meetings every 2 months
