The business is a wholly owned subsidy of a major international energy company and has the financial backing and support to grow at an incredible scale over the next several years. They have a healthy pipeline and some great targets they will be looking to hit and are building out a team to help them accomplish these goals.
We are currently looking for a Development Engineer to join their Development Engineering team and be responsible for the engineering, design, interconnection, permitting, and risk assessment for their utility-scale energy storage projects. You will have the opportunity to work outside of your scope with third-party vendors and expand your skill sets as both an engineer and a project manager.
Required Experience
Ideally looking for someone with 1-2+ years' experience working in utility-scale or DG energy storage or renewables project development. This being said, this role can encompass a wide range of experience.
Someone with a quantitative background either from an educational standpoint or in a previous position they held.
A degree in either electrical engineering, civil engineering, or math.
It would be great if this person had experience working at an EPC, IPP, or consultancy in any of the following markets: NY-ISO, ERCOT, MISO, ISO-NE, or PJM.
Someone who is not just looking for a pure engineering position. You will also have project management responsibilities with a focus on working with external parties.
Someone with a demonstrated history of good public speaking skills and the ability to function autonomously.
