​Piper Maddox is currently engaged on an exclusive basis with a very successful, rapidly growing Developer and Operator of Commercial Scale Solar. Founded only 4 years ago, this business already has developed more than 1,300 behind-the-meter and community solar and storage projects, totaling more than 1 gigawatt of renewable electricity, with a truly national spread and a growing portfolio internationally too.

The organization has an exciting pipeline of work moving forward, especially in California which is their home state, they are expanding their team rapidly across multiple functions but most importantly they are looking to hire a Development Project Manager.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversight of all Project Management responsibilities for your region, portfolio and/or segment of assigned business

  • Manage, provide guidance and support to Development Project Management and Project Coordination personnel on all assigned projects and portfolios.

  • Oversight and approval of all obligations, budgets, schedules, cash flows, and resource requirements associated with RFP responses and all assigned projects and portfolios.

  • Provide Development representation for all RFP shortlist interviews when required.

  • Collaborate with internal and external legal project representatives.

  • Coordinate Development efforts to align with Structured Finance obligation

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of accomplishments working as a Project Manager as well as collaborating with internal stakeholders and support organizations

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Motivation to accomplish objectives to achieve company goals and objectives

  • Highly motivated self-starter, friendly personality, team player, lead by example.

  • 5-10 years of relevant industry experience as a Project Manager for Behind-the-Meter projects in California, ideally within the Public Sector.

  • Experience managing Canopy projects strongly preferred

  • Bachelor of Science in related field of work; Construction Management, Engineering or related Technical degree preferred but not required.

  • Computer proficiency including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Accounting applications
