Our client has developed a software platform that alleviates strain on the electricity grid and drives value to owners of clean energy assets, buildings, and electric vehicles through electricity markets.
This proprietary software platform has been designed to optimize the operation of DERs by predicting the behavior of electricity markets.
The business has just secured their second round of funding and has already deployed their platform in over 15 million square feet of commercial and industrial real-estate in Canada, New York, and California.

The Director of Business Development will be critical to the success of this business’s growth in the US and Canada. You will report into the CEO and VP Sales and will be the face of the business in their respective market and be responsible for the entire sales cycle from early prospecting to contract negotiations and execution for the product and services.
A little more about the role:
Direct sales and market development activities in defined region related to technology within energy efficiency and sustainability in the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) industry
Experience selling a software platform is desirable
The understanding of various Local Law’s mandating energy efficiency in the built environment.
Develop clear go-to market strategies to increase brand awareness across CRE industry.
Experience in the development and operation of energy storage and demand response in wholesale markets around world.
Understanding of energy storage, distributed energy resources, vehicle electrification, grid modernization and demand-side resources
What you bring:
University degree in a scientific or engineering discipline is preferred.
Master’s degree or MBA (preferable)
Sales expertise within the Energy sector, Building Automation or IoT industry; a track record of 7-10 years of delivering sales results.
