​Director, Business Development & Partnerships – San Francisco, CA

Piper Maddox has been engaged on a confidential search with an emerging leader in zero-emissions transportation. They are a venture-backed Series A startup focused on developing zero-emission electric semi-truck charging depots.

They are looking for a Director of Partnerships and Business Development to lead industry partnerships with key logistics stakeholders to drive new business opportunities for the business and their customers. The goal is to create demand for a differentiated category of zero emission goods movement, and successfully translate that into increased drayage business for their customers and growth opportunities for their core business venture.

Responsibilities for this role include:

• Collaborate with sales and development teams to create and execute a strategy to drive demand.

• Develop relationships and establish partnerships with key stakeholders in sustainability, logistics, transportation, and electrification divisions.

The ideal candidate has:

• Prior partnership or business development and strategic partnership management experience, with demonstrable success in closing deals.

• Candidates with transportation, freight, corporate sustainability, climate policy or energy industry experience are preferred.
