​Our client is a publicly traded business headquartered in Utah, founded in 2002 and has become a very successful provider of renewable energy and clean tech solutions for theC&I and Residentialmarkets. Their main focus has been developing high quality and high performance solar power systems. They currently operate nationwide, serving customers and clients in 15 states. They have grown into one of the nation’s leading solar providers, owing much of their growth to their company-wide commitment to quality, value, ethics and safety. They have installed hundreds of MW to date and have a headcount of over 500 staff.

The business is currently going through a rapid growth phase as the company continues to scale, and due to increased market demand, and they are ready to add aDirector of Estimatingto the team. This person will be lead the group responsible for estimating and pre-construction activities across their various Solar and Clean Tech projects. You will oversee the accurate preparation of estimates for jobs and have knowledge of market pricing construction means and methods, costs and engineering and industry principles.

This includes:Knowledge of electrical systems and design knowledge as it relates to equipment selection, energy production, cost of work and labor productivity to provide accurate cost estimates for solar construction projects to support the development and construction of projects.


  • Receive, review and analyze contractor and vendor bids as part of RFP responses.

  • Create and manage bid opportunities.

  • Present estimates to the executives and senior leaders

  • Solicit EPC, equipment supplier, and subcontractor pricing to support internal pricing estimates.

  • Understand engineering scopes, including electrical, mechanical, structural, civil, and permitting.

  • Review cost models, finance models, drawings and production estimates to ensure all information is aligned and accurate prior to handoff to Operations.

  • Perform site investigation to determine project feasibility and issue subsequent report outlining constructability and logistics concerns.

  • Review change orders to validate scope of work, quantities, rates and overall cost.

Salary Range : $120,000- $150,000 + Bonus Potential
