Piper Maddox currently working with a VERY exciting EV Infrastructure Company based out of Santa Monica, CA that is looking for a pioneering Head of People, to help grow the start-up from the ground up, working with C-level executives to create impactful teams and revolutionize the EV charging industry!

  • Support in leadership, strategy, process, and program implementations for all aspects of Human Resources

  • Operate as an SME in areas of employment law and compliance, providing support to leadership team, and working in tandem with 3rd party counsel as appropriate

  • Drive strategic HR-related planning, organization design, talent management lifecycle processes

  • Develop strategies surrounding employee experience, employee onboarding, learning & development, total rewards, DEI initiatives, and implementation of other programs to attract & retain talent, promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace; collaborate with talent acquisition as appropriate for hiring and onboarding

  • Work to resolve employee and organizational issues in a proactive and productive manner

  • Own ongoing performance review cycle process across the business


  • 10+ years of human resources generalist experience or equivalent

  • Experience creating, administrating, and executing HR policies and procedures

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced start-up or scale-up environment preferred

  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality with highly sensitive information and data

  • Experience with 401(k) administration and procurement of employee benefits preferred

  • Experience with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting software

  • Experience with building teams and creating an inviting work environment
