​The Director, Pre-construction role is a remote position that is the overall EPC transaction lead for utility scale energy storage, Solar, and HV projects (including substation and transmission projects) and is responsible for the overall EPC contracting process and execution. The role involves significant collaboration and interface with internal stakeholders and the market to identify, prepare and execute an EPC contracting strategy that meets or exceeds internal targets. The individual is responsible for leading contract negotiations in a manner that provides the best outcome for Avantus and for the Project. Specifically, the overarching priority of the Director role is to ensure commercial alignment across the EPC agreements and Owner Furnished Equipment contracts, and Project obligations, including PPA, LGIA, and labor requirements.  The role also acts as a liaison between the earlier stage teams and the execution team by providing and facilitating constructability and feasibility feedback for early stage projects. This position will report to the Senior Director of Pre-construction.
