The Electrical Engineer/Project Manager position is a critical role responsible for managing the delivery of the companies microgrid projects. Based out of their Las Vegas location, you will be responsible for coordinating and participating in the detailed design, implementation, commissioning, and operation of the companies commercial, industrial, and residential microgrid projects, which use the companies microgrid modelling and control products. You will lead the coordination between the customer and internal teams to deliver our products as well as working with the team on integration, commissioning, and ongoing operation of deployed systems.
Interfacing with customers during the sales process to develop project requirements, scope of work, and delivery schedule.
Managing customers in relation to products, services, and project timelines.
Managing internal cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects.
Validating that the project fulfils contracted scope of work. Some travel to customer sites will be required. Approximately 30% travel expected.
Closing out projects with customer and internal management.
Ongoing client, project, and product management post deployment.
Project management of internal project and product initiatives.
Collaborating with fellow engineers and project contractors to provide installation guidance.
Commissioning and operation of systems deployed with control hardware and software.
Working with the team on product technical integration, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and delivery.
Conducting research, development, testing, and documentation of internal product initiatives.
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned or required for product development and delivery.
B.S or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical power systems.
Minimum 3 years of experience in project management.
Familiarity with renewable energy, energy storage, monitoring and control systems.
Knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
Fundamental understanding of power and energy in electrical systems.
Proven ability to work independently.
Capable of lifting 50lbs unassisted.
Comfortable with climbing ladders and walking on rooftops when needed.
Eligible to work in the United States.
