The Role

- Working as a leading member of a mission driven electrical team to develop an electric propulsion system for a novel eVTOL aircraft
- Specify the requirements of the electrical propulsion system and deliver on a comprehensive V&V strategy
- Managing a team of multi-disciplinary electrical/systems/mechanical/test engineers as they develop a state-of-the-art propulsion system; translating the architecture into a detailed design
- Engaging with the supply chain in component selection and justifying these decisions to senior stakeholders
- Working closely with testing teams to set up the V&V strategy
- Chair design reviews with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring functionality, safety and reliability of the system and overseeing the integration into the novel airframe
- Engaging with external stakeholders to develop an eco-system of supply chain and stakeholders to bring Urban Air Mobility to life
- Immersing yourself in a growing start-up environment; contributing to as many areas of the business as you can add value to help achieve the goal of revolutionising air travel

Your Background

- Educated to Masters or PhD level in a relevant field of Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering
- More than 7+ years experience in electrical system development
- Demonstrable experience working with electrical propulsion systems in Aerospace, Automotive, Marine or Rail sectors
- Expert knowledge of electrical system design, modelling and circuitry design
- Broad exposure to HV electrical/electronics components such as Power Electronics and Electrical Machines
- Passionate about the development of sustainable technologies that will transform the way we travel
- Confident in your ability to problem solve and able to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
- Naturally curious and able to think laterally about the significant technical challenges presented by working with novel aircraft architectures and electrical propulsion

In return, you will receive a competitive base salary from €70,000 to €100,000+ plus an extensive benefits package which includes bonus, share schemes, relocation support and flexible working.
