Piper Maddox has been engaged on a confidential search by one of the most innovative and cutting-edge energy infrastructure and finance firms in the nation. Their focus is on Decarbonization and Eaas solutions, exclusively partnering with Fortune 1000 businesses, to support them long-term with their energy efficiency needs, and help them improve their carbon footprint outlook.

The organization also received an estimated $600MM in funding from one of of the most established renewable energy-focused asset owners in the world, a company that looks to continue supporting them as they continue expanding their customer base, and growing their clientele, primarily in the Northeastern US. Additionally, they have a total of $3BB in capital allocated to Eaas solutions, $2BB of which is already deployed, providing cost-saving solutions for over 50 different projects, saving their clientele a total of $94.5MM, and 2000MW of unnecessary energy production.

This immense financial backing has allowed this organization to work within a business model that does not require any down payment from their client before the savings from the solution begin to manifest! Obviously, this is incredibly attractive, as it helps companies mitigate the two biggest obstacles when determining the financial considerations associated with a new project: operational risk and capital risk.

The client is looking for a motivated and talented Finance & Development Associate to work directly alongside one of the Managing Partners, and play an active role in financing the immense pipeline currently being undertaken, under this Managing Director's direct tutelage.

The ideal candidate would have:

  • 3-5 years of experience dealing with project finance in the renewable sector

  • Extensive and comprehensive exposure to financial modelling

  • Exposure utilizing tax equity and debt-financing methodologies in the context of project finance

  • The ability to work out of the office in Boston, at least 50% of the time

  • A professional mindset and passion for sustainability
