​Piper Maddox has partnered with a global leader in solar energy solutions! Currently sourcing for a Civil Engineer with an extensive background in foundations and geotechnical engineering. The Foundation Engineer will take on design responsibilities, analysis, drafting, design review for compliance and safety adherence, and customer contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply national and international building codes, standards, and engineering principles to analyze and design foundations for solar power plant applications

• Analyze the terrain and topography of the site to adapt to the structural and mechanical parameters of the ARRAY trackers and develop grading requirements for cut & fill using Civil 3D.

• Prepare Pile plans with 3D coordinates (x, y, z)

• Evaluate electrochemical test data for corrosion analysis

• Evaluate impact on foundations from Frost Heave due to adfreeze force

• Evaluate impact on foundations from of expansive soils, collapsible soils, sand dunes etc.

• Calculate design life of foundations using corrosion standards (DIN 50929, FHWA, AS2159)

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, geotechnical discipline

• Minimum 3 years of foundation engineering designs and geotechnical engineering

• Experience in Pile Designs and Pile Testing

• Experience in Geotechnical laboratory testing

Location: Base out of Chandler, AZ – some travel likely.

Salary range: $98,000 - $115,000 based on experience
