Piper Maddox’s has partnered with an innovative OEM Aftermarket Battery company, whose mission is to revolutionize the battery industry. They are accomplishing this with their approach to OEM Replacement, Battery Recycling, 2nd Life Batteries, and End-to End services.

With their rapid growth they are looking to expand their team and looking for an experienced and motivated Funding Manager who is open an opportunity to be a key driver in the growth and success of an innovative startup with a competitive compensation package. This role is open to be remote and fractional depending.

Job Description:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive funding strategy tailored to their needs including securing investment for our OEM Aftermarket Battery, 2nd Life batteries, Recycling, and End-to-End services.

  • Identify and engage potential investors, ranging from venture capitalists to institutional partners, who share our vision and are aligned with our goals.

  • Craft persuasive and captivating pitch presentations that effectively convey their innovative solutions, market potential, and strategic roadmap to potential investors.

  • Nurture and cultivate strong relationships with investors, providing regular updates on our progress, breakthroughs, and financial performance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze the company's financial requirements, ensuring accurate financial models and projections are presented to investors.

  • Lead due diligence processes by providing transparent and comprehensive financial data, business projections, and other relevant documents to potential investors.

  • Negotiate investment terms, equity stakes, valuations, and other vital aspects of investor partnerships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Stay current with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes to adjust funding strategies in alignment with emerging opportunities.

  • Work closely with legal teams to ensure all investment-related agreements, contracts, and regulatory obligations are meticulously met.

  • Provide regular investor reports detailing financial performance, key milestones achieved, and any shifts in our business strategy.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred.

  • Over 5 years of demonstrated success in fundraising, investor relations, or similar roles within the startup ecosystem.

  • Superior communication and presentation skills that seamlessly convey complex ideas in an engaging and compelling manner.

  • A proven track record of effective negotiation skills, coupled with a history of cultivating and managing investor relationships.

  • Proficiency in market research, industry analysis, and the identification of strategic investment opportunities.

  • Collaborative mindset and cross-functional teamwork.
