UCP Choice a TSG UK Company; is a leading national provider of high-voltage connections helping to accelerate the move to electric vehicles and renewable energy. Based in Cambridge, they offer a full-service including design, equipment supply, project management, installation and maintenance to the EV, battery storage and solar market.
As an independent connection provider (ICP) UCP Choice is accredited to carry out a vast array of infrastructure works, including but not limited to; civils, electrics, cabling, steel towers and substation installations.
As part of their new relationship, they are looking to bring on a General Manager to work alongside the Managing Director to lead the growth of the business.
*The General Manager will monitor, control and direct the timeliness and quality of outputs as well as compliance with all technical and administrative criteria of projects and daily operational activities of the department, engineering consultants, as well as design and build contractors and provide direction.
*The General Manager will be responsible for the preparation, approval and management of the departmental operating and capital expenditure budget by monitoring variances and taking corrective actions.
You will have responsibility for leading the business through their growth from 20 people to 60+ over the next 12 months, as well as having budgetary responsibilities and supporting the Managing Director with strategy for the business.
