​​​Piper Maddox has been engaged on an exclusive search for a GIS Manager with one of our excelling clients in Utility-Scale Solar & BESS Development. The company has already shown huge success in converting greenfield sites into operating assets. They are developing a 5GW + pipeline of PV and BESS projects, and are looking to grow their engineering team further. The company is small by design to allow for maximal career growth and ability for each member to guide the company's success. You will be an individual contributor from the start.

As a the GIS Manager, you will be a pivotal member of the development team, manage projects, and work cross-functionally with other departments. You would develop GIS capabilities of the business and build processes internally to support growth of the business. With growth of the business you could grow into a GIS Director. You must have experience in ArcGIS and Google Earth. Lastly, you will evaluate potential sites and decide if you can build or not. You would be working with ERCOT, SERC, and MISO.

Location

The company is located in Austin, TX. There is flexibilty for some hybrid work but due to responsibilities the candidate must be in Austin or willing to commute a couple days a week.
