A leading player in solar, onshore wind, and BESS is seeking a grid specialist to take on a brand new role within the organization. This role is at the heart of the organization, working closely with development and technical teams. You'd be within a really knowledgeable team too, there's currently 2 heads of taking on the responsibilities for this role, so plenty of people to learn from.

This role is varied working on the grid processes, heavily focused on early stage DNO liaising and project due diligence. The team is looking for someone early on in their career, looking for a role that will upskill them in a crucial stage of the project life cycle. The team is ready and eager to develop your skill set to a point where you would be able to manage the grid department, taking full responsibility for this function.

For this role, you'd need knowledge of the UK grid network and process as well as a background in onshore renewables. Experience with ICPs or DNOs would be highly valuable for this position.

What will this role look like?
- Applying for grid connections for solar, BESS and onshore wind projects.
- Managing and developing relationships with DNOs
- Reviewing and creating G99 applications.
- Understanding of technical diagrams and drawings.
- Understanding of power systems studies hands on knowledge is not essential.
- Good stakeholder management skills
