Grid Specialist- Outskirts of London
Solar and Energy Storage Development and Asset Management- Up to £90,000 DOE

Over the course of the last 15 years, a growing and quality driven solar and energy storage developer, optimizer and asset manager has been originating and managing over 1GW worth of assets.

The company:
They have worked over the last 15 years to develop their functions to work across asset development, origination, and optimization. They have made several waves in the industry throughout 2023 alone, partnering with an EPC for their projects, as well as a major funder also. They have broadened their portfolio to include BESS and hybrid sites, adding variety to their work.

They work to a high standard, priding themselves in their quality and cutting-edge work. They have their own in-house GIS tool, for their land team to source sites, ensuring their work is efficient and easier for those teams.

They have strong growth plans over the next few years and have ambitious plans within the space. You'd also be supported by a team with a wealth of experience, the senior management possessing over 40 years' worth of knowledge between them. The role:
There are actually 2 available positions within the team. One would be distribution focused, so a background with DNOs would be valuable. The other is transmission level, and ideally, you'd have experience from within or working closely with the National Grid.
Both roles are similar in nature, with the main aim of the position to lead the research, critique and sourcing of relevant grid infrastructures for connection agreements. You'll be a proactive character, ready to support on issues, ready to find solutions to common problems in the industry.

The main responsibilities will include:
- Developing relationships with, and liaising with DNOs and the TO
- Regularly attending workshops and industry events held by DNOs/TO
- Work regularly with and have a strong understanding of the UK grid codes and the underlying information surrounding these policies.
- Running programs and being well versed in DIgSILENT and other relevant softwares.
- Developing the technical team and grid connection portfolios.
