Head of Technical is sought by a leading developer, looking to move into the construction and ownership of various renewable generation assets. You'll be joining a truly people first organization, working on a pipeline of over 2.5GW currently across England.

They're at a crucial stage of the growth as an organization, and with their flagship project underway, they are now able to grow their pipeline to new heights. For them, they are working at an astounding rate of growth, aiming at year-on-year growth of 8 projects a year. Their current business model is centered around UK solar and BESS utility scale projects.
This year, they are hoping to stretch into onshore wind, for Scottish and Welsh markets, as well as some international work in the USA.

2022 was an incredible year for them, as they entered a new partnership with a leader in the energy industry. This has allowed them to expand at such a rate, as well as to create exciting roles like this Head of Technical role…

This role will be at the center of all of their projects, acting as the technical head for the development of their projects. This role is brand new to the team, so the full scope lies down to you, molding around your full skillset. The core skills they'll need you to cover includes:

- Managing the full technical team as it grows
- Working closely with a variety of different stakeholders for project development, construction, and operation.
- Source, appoint and manage technical third parties.
- Working with teams to provide technical requirements and input.
- Censuring the best commercial value through technical designs
- Working according to health and safety legislation and guidance.
- Managing both DNO and TSO relationships.

You'll need to be agile, ready to work at all stages of the project lifecycle across multiple technologies. Being willing to be hands-on with the technical work would also be a major positive for this position.
