Piper Maddox has been engaged in an exclusive search with a startup in the Bay Area building a first-of-its-kind electric vehicle. They successfully completed their series A funding earlier this year, and had to turn away additional investors, showcasing the unique position of their product in the market. to the excitement of their product had to turn away investors which in today’s climate within the market.
They are building an impressive team with backgrounds across the most prestigious names in the EV and AV industry and are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team.
This is a unique opportunity to have end-to-end ownership of an entire system and its associated components.
Responsibilities for this role include:
Develop and execute innovative automotive design concepts, from initial concept through to production, using a strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure that designs meet performance, safety, and quality standards while aligning with project timelines and budget constraints.
The ideal candidate has:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
5-10+ years of experience in automotive or consumer product design, with a proven track record of shipping successful products.
Expertise in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and design analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD).
Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards related to automotive design and development.
