Piper Maddox has been engaged in a confidential, exclusive search by a newly formed organization comprised of extremely well-established industry professionals with over 50 years of renewable energy experience. After a few high-profile organizational mergers and changes, these 4 industry vets decided to venture out on their own in January 2020 and create a new organization with an initial launch of over $50MM for development capital and $80MM to cover credit facilities initially, but as of August 2023 they raised another $100MM to fuel they next round of large-scale greenfield development.
This is an opportunity to join a startup organization that has been operational for three years and already has a pipeline of 11.5GW sourced, 7GW in the que, 500MW with signed interconnection agreements across CIASO, WECC, ERCOT, etc. This organization only focuses on the large end of utility-scale with a min project size of 300MW and a number of 1GW+ project.
At the moment the organization is operating on a develop to flip at NTP model but are open to potentially grow into either built up or acquire an IPP here in the US. The company is 20 people with plans to hit 40 ASAP.
This organization is looking for a talented M&A Manager to play an integral role in their asset sell and asset acquisition process, as they continue to grow. Given the develop-to-flip model, this person will be playing a massive role in the company's revenue generation, continued growth, and ultimately will act one of leaders in realizing the vision of the founding Partners. This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced and motivated M&A professional to come into an 11+GW pipeline and sell off their high-quality pipeline to other organizations to take to COD.
The ideal candidate would have:
-5+ YOE in executing M&A agreements within renewable energy (utility-scale preferred)
-a track record of successful deal-execution on the sell-side
-the ability to be based out of, or relocate to, the Western half of the US
