They are one of the leaders in Standards Development and in Testing, Inspection and Certification around the world. Our client has recently built a new state of the art energy storage lab in Cleveland, Ohio.
They are looking for an experienced engineer with knowledge and experience in design, evaluation, and testing of Micro Grid Controllers (MGC) for battery energy storage systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Take the lead on all activities required to fully operationalize the lab and gain accreditation.
Technical lead in the Microgrid Controller product area.
Technical mentor to junior engineers and technicians.
Will speak at events & workshops – acting as the face of company's Microgrid product area.
Evaluates and performs certification and testing work according to the applicable standards being applied and appropriate to their own qualifications and experience.
Formulates test plans, conducts testing as needed, and analyzes test data to determine compliance with applicable requirements.
Drafts test reports and all certification documents.
Key Requirements:
Electrical engineer with industrial background.
Experience in the integration of microgrid components, electric power systems, control systems that manage microgrid operations and such.
Familiar with energy management equipment that energizes or de-energizes electrical loads to achieve a desired use of electrical power.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in microgrid specific role (so long as there is additional relevant engineering/technical experience).

$85,000 - $135,000 based on experience
