The business is looking to make a critical hire within the Origination team, and this is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is ready to take the next step in their career!
Lead efforts to originate, structure, and negotiate structured wholesale utility power offtake contracts
Identify new origination prospects, propose outreach strategy and key customer messaging for all products and technologies under development.
Advise internal teams on RFP participation, lead the negotiation and structuring of revenue contracts, and develop power marketing thesis for development pipeline expansion.
Develop offtake outreach plans and strategic positioning within the market, opportunities to scale and leverage existing asset base, analysis of RTO and state market dynamics, financing availability, etc.
Provide offtake analysis on new project opportunities (both M&A and greenfield) based on customer demand and value proposition.
Knowledge and Skills:
Aptitude for analytical and financial modeling
Knowledge of the energy industry including regulated and de-regulated electricity markets and project financing structures and key value drivers
Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent efforts, track progress and needs of each, and provide deliverables accurately and on time
Able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
The Ideal candidate would have a degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics or engineering, and have 5+ years of experience in utility scale renewables, preferably in an origination or development role.
