​Position Summary:
The Portfolio Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the ongoing operations of the generating portfolio and supporting operations of the company's solar installations. Using web-based monitoring tools, the Portfolio Operations Manager will ensure that the operating portfolio is performing optimally. The Portfolio Operations Manager will also be responsible for supporting the development and construction of new solar generating assets. This position reports to the Senior Portfolio Operations Manager and is a full-time remote/telecommute opportunity with anticipated travel of approximately 15%.


Responsibilities:
Operations
• Monitor Nautilus’s solar power plants daily, comparing output to expected, logging all alerts, and
dispatching O&M partners.
• Work closely with Nautilus’s monitoring and O&M partners to continuously improve our
capabilities and response time.
• Prepare all Compliance Reports for Nautilus management and Financing Partners.
• Help develop new requirements, specifications, best practices, and tools.
• Act as point of contact and manage ongoing relationships with Landowners and on-going Site
Lease obligations including lease and property tax payments.
• Manage ongoing PILOT agreement obligations.
• Process all O&M expenses through applicable ERP.
• Provide budget vs actual O&M expense analysis on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Special projects as needed.


Maintenance
• Manage Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Agreements for Nautilus’s generating portfolio.
• Oversee monthly/quarterly/annual O&M activities, as required.
• Develop tools, procedures, and business relationships to help decrease Nautilus maintenance costs over time.
• Ensure compliance with applicable warranties.
• Maintain the O&M log. Coordinate and track all required repairs. Project Development and Management
• Interface with the Development and Structuring team during the pre-construction phase to support the analysis of new assets.
• Interface closely with the Project Operations team during construction phase to support technical onboarding and project transition to the Portfolio Operations team at energization including
review of all commissioning reports and O&M manuals


Requirements:

• 4-year degree required, technical degree highly preferred
• 3 years of relevant solar management experience
• Strong Excel, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with different levels and functions of the organization as well as with
external parties such as banks, lawyers, customers and contractors
• Ability to work independently in a team-oriented and fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
• Ability to undertake complex tasks
• Project oriented with a goal to complete assignments on time
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
