My client is a battery-cell manufacturing firm, currently in the process of setting up a pilot plant in Baden-Württemberg commutable from Stuttgart (region Heidelberg/Mannheim/Karsruhe). They've secured some large contracts to supply an automotive firm with battery cells, and need your help to start delivering.
The role will be responsible for delivering equipment services (Electricity, Compressed Air, Solvents etc..) and clean & dry environments from specification to installation, delivery & commissioning. The individual will be responsible for timing, specification & cost efficiency for all plant engineering areas of responsibility.
Key responsibilities *Specification, supplier selection, delivery and commissioning of all equipment services & specialised environments including *Electricity distribution *Procurement and commissioning of process equipment *Liaising with suppliers and critiquing design to ensure solutions are robust and designed protecting for the future. *Ensuring equipment delivered is safe and meets local and company requirements. *Ensuring area of responsibility is compliant with environmental regulations & permitting. *Budget control for their process segment *Equipment buy off - defining criteria and execution of FAT & SAT testing. *Ensuring all equipment and documentation is delivered and available.
After the pilot plant is set up, there will be opportunities to move to either manufacturing engineering, continuous improvement, or taking charge of further scale-up or plants, allowing you to develop and grow within the company.
Requirements Experience as a plant engineer, project engineer, facilities engineer or industrial engineer Experience in the battery sector is ideal, but any process industry (pharmaceutical, chemical) will be considered. Must have experience working in the EU
