Role description:

Our customer is searching for a dynamic Energy Storage Sales Manager to drive aggressive growth in the UK (and potentially across Europe). The role holder will be an energy storage expert and be selling the battery management system (EMS) and optimization services (i.e. access, bidding and active trading in frequency services, balancing mechanism, intraday market etc) to energy storage owners, financiers, operators and developers.

The Sales Manager is expected to mainly grow the UK Energy Storage management business from its current strong stage into the leading player within 3 years. Involvement in selling the customer's Energy Storage platform (EMS) across Europe is also envisaged.

This position requires an individual with strong understanding of the UK markets, finance, battery storage operation and a proven ability to sell to high-powered investors/battery system owners.


▪ Strong sales background with a proven track record of closing battery management system (EMS) and optimization services deals in the UK
▪ Strong understanding of the wider UK power industry markets/developments/challenges is key, knowledge about European markets a further plus
▪ Good knowledge of Energy Storage management systems (EMS) and market is required
▪ Knowledge and understanding of trading markets (balancing mechanism, intraday trading) is a big plus
▪ Knowledge of frequency markets and other available revenue streams for energy storage systems is expected
▪ Good existing network of contacts in the UK energy storage space is key
▪ Know-how regarding an enterprise-type sales process and cycle
▪ Track record in deal closure by knowing, interacting and influencing all key decision makers at a customer
▪ First point of contact and handle incoming inquiries for our Energy Storage offering in the UK
▪ Willingness to travel nationally and potentially internationally
▪ Technical background and experience an advantage
