Piper Maddox has been retained on a search for a Business Development Manager for a fast-growing start-up. Founded in 2015, my client has developed a comprehensive software platform that alleviates strain on the electricity grid and drives value to owners of clean energy assets, buildings, and electric vehicles (EVs) through electricity markets.


The team are looking for a Sr Business Development Manager to drive the regional sales growth for Energy Storage technology, targeting various direct customers and channel partners in the commercial and industrial markets in Canada and North America.


Reporting to VP of Sales, you will be the face in your respective markets. Here is a little more about the role:-

•Develop. You will develop and nurture strong trust and relationships with key decision makers in Commercial and Industrial markets to promote the company’s Storage products and services

•Deliver. You will lead entire sales cycle from early prospecting to contract negotiations and execution for products and services.

•Collaborate. You will lead entire sales cycle from early prospecting to contract negotiations and execution.


What you bring:-

•The education and experience. You bring 5-6 years of Sales/Business Development experience in the Energy storage industry.

•The expertise. You have experience selling into Commercial and Industrial market (considered an asset)


This work matters. With greater adoption of renewable energy, storage technologies play vital role in ensuring that the grid is reliable and stable. Even a small change to optimize power utilization can significantly impact customers, our electrical grid, and environment.
