If so, Piper Maddox are recruiting for a Senior Controls Engineer on behalf of an exciting engineering consultancy who would love to hear from you!

You will be joining a small, young yet rapidly expanding team of some of the automotive industry's most renown engineers to deliver complex and innovative projects on behalf of OEM's, start-ups and suppliers alike. As Senior Controls Engineer you will take responsibility for:

- Technical leadership to deliver projects and proposals
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and partners to capture requirements and deliver innovative designs based on existing and new architectures
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop complete systems for clients (embedded software, mechanical design, battery engineering etc)

You will be degree educated in Automotive engineering or another relevant discipline and have attained or be working towards Chartered status. You will be able to demonstrate experience developing engineering solutions for powertrain or drivetrain controls systems; ideally in automotive, motorsport or electric vehicle sectors. you will have a strong background in control algorithm design, implementation and design and be familiar with the use of HIL and other rapid-prototype control systems. Finally, you will also have a working knowledge of ISO26262 and functional safety standards.
