Piper Maddox is currently supporting multiple clients at multiple stages in the E-Mobility supply chain. The type of Engineer we are looking for is outlined below with Power Electronics being a favourable skillset but not strictly required.

Senior Electronics Engineer
Salary - £45-55k
Location - Midlands

As Senior Electronics Engineer your responsibilities will be:

- Having responsibility for technical ownership of electronic circuits, through concept, development, and validation.

- Providing technical delivery of development activities to meet timescales and cost targets for R&D products and customer projects.

- Support the planning of electronics-related activities.

- Interface with suppliers and collaborators with technical requirements and feedback for current and latest designs.

- Work directly with other engineering fields (e.g., embedded SW, PCB layout, mechanical design etc.) to develop complete systems.

- Aid system integration by supporting debugging capability and validation support.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Degree qualified in an Engineering or Science related discipline as a minimum.

- A minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience successfully supporting development projects in an automotive or aerospace engineering environment.

- Use of schematic capture and PCB layout tools.

- Familiarity in mathematical modelling and simulation of circuits and systems, e.g., SPICE, PLECS, SIMetrix.

- Use of reliability, risk, or safety analysis tools for the analysis of hardware, e.g., FTA, DFMEA.

- Qualification of systems to automotive standards, involving EMC and environmental testing.

- An awareness of functional safety analysis, design, and validation to standards such as ISO26262 or similar.

- An understanding of rotating machine design and motor principles.

- Writing technical documents. e.g.: Worst-Case Analysis
