You would be joining a team of 25 as a key stakeholder to help expand the business! Reporting directly to the Director of R&D, you'd huge part on scaling up the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, win support for; then lead, oversee execution (including the design, fabrication, and operation) of targeted experimental campaigns to provide information required to design integrated process units for the conversion of natural gas into solid carbon and hydrogen.
Leverage your area of specialty to inform technical R&D decision making, including inputting into prioritization of lab campaigns, and identification of key experimental data outcomes to inform technology scale up
Work collaboratively with the engineering team on design and modeling of process units to ensure successful scale up of the technology to pilot, translating lab results and industry experience to viable pilot plant designs
Project manage external engineering firms to progress engineering designs in support of technology scale up
Develop CAD models and other detailed designs for components and process units
Education / Experience:
BS/MS with 13+ years industrial experience or PhD with 10+ years industrial experience, Chemical / Process Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
5+ years experience with performing mechanical design, heat transfer and chemical process modeling
5+ years experience with performing techno-economic analysis
Location: Onsite - California
Salary is based on experience: $135,000 - $195,000
