Piper Maddox has partnered with an innovative EV charging-as-a-service firm based out of the Boston area, promoting accessibility to EV charging that knows no limits. This business is the first of its kind, and offers on-demand mobile Level III charging services.
They are in search of a Senior/Staff Systems Engineer to support the hardware, software, test, and PM teams in overcoming multidisciplinary challenges for product success.
This position will drive product requirements, bringing together mechanical, electrical, and firmware systems, working with testing to ensure products meet regulatory requirements and provide recommendations to the design team. This role will cover high-voltage cutting-edge portable charging technologies; and the ideal candidate has 4-5+ years of experience in cross-disciplinary engineering across complex electro-mechanical systems within a fast-paced commercial environment.
Responsibilities:
Drive product requirements, maintain, and track changes.
Establish, document, and maintain engineering
Bring together mechanical, electrical, and firmware subsystems against relevant requirements
Design towards manufacturability and mass production
Remain appraised of relevant regulations and certifications for domestic and international sale
Collaborate with test engineering to specify requirements, assist in testing, and verification
Revolve system issues and recommend improvements to design teams
Requirements:
B.S. in Engineering
Multidisciplinary engineering exposure to 2+ of the following disciplines (electrical, firmware, mechanical, etc.)
Hands on engineering experience within a fast-paced ,commercial, hardware-focused environment
Exposure across the entire product development lifecycle, from inception through launch
5+ years of engineer experience within a heavy duty or high-power industrial market (Battery storage or EV Charging experience is a plus)
Familiarity with UL Certified products (or CE or IEC certification)
