Our Client is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Designer to join their internal Engineering team! This position will report into the Director of Engineering and is based at corporate office in lower Fairfield.
The Solar Designer will join our Clients’ Engineering team and would work closely with Construction Management team on a daily basis. Day to day responsibilities as a Solar Designer include preparing preliminary layouts, single line diagrams, production estimates, roof surveys, low voltage permit sets, coordinate civil, structural, and medium voltage and storage layers, review data and specification information, complete interconnection applications and visit sites for project feasibility, and more!
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering; preference in Electrical Engineering
· 2 years of experience designing C&I solar arrays in the 1 MW to 10 MW size (ground mount, rooftops, canopy, etc.)
· 1+ years of experience in Solar Design
· Must be highly skilled in AutoCAD, Helioscope, and Sketch up
· Strong familiarity with PVSyst
· Strong attention to detail; success driven
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
