Piper Maddox has been retained on an exclusive assignment by a business looking to revolutionize battery markets with their advanced battery technology to recruit a Sr. Director of R&D.
They have re-engineered lithium-ion batteries and have been able to solve the fundamental tradeoff between energy and power by developing a multi-layer electrode and now are in a place where they are ready to ramp up their manufacturing capabilities extremely fast with their recent purchase of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
This role will play a massive part in that journey and this person will be largely responsible for overseeing and managing all R&D processes.
Essential Requirements:
We need someone who has a proven track record of producing results, is detail-oriented, and can be a team player and leader.
This person will need experience managing product development/R&D and can guide all internal qualification processes.
This person will ideally have experience working in the battery industry but could also be coming from field display, photographics, or PV coating.
This person needs management experience and must have a proven ability to keep on schedule and accomplishment of milestones.
This person will ideally have a high-level overview experience in each of the following and a deeper level of understanding in one area.
Polymer binding
Design optimization
Lithium-ion formulation
Coating processes
Generalized cell design
