A client of ours based in Germany (Stuttgart) is looking for a Systems engineer. This is a full-time permanent role, competitive salary.

The team 'RD Powertrain Integration' system concepts for fuel cell systems in commercial vehicles and in stationary applications. They also work on concepts for product safety and functional safety of fuel cell units.

* You will work on the conception and further development of HV topologies (up to 800V) for fuel cell drive trains in automotive and stationary applications
* You use the design framework for the drive train architecture in national and international regulations and design new solutions for requirements
* You create the HV safety concept taking functional (ISO26262) and non-functional requirements into account
* You coordinate the HV architecture and the HV safety concept with the customer and their application
* You derive requirements for the components of the high-voltage topology from the system concepts created
* You support your colleagues in component development in creating new component concepts
* You confirm your concepts through verification attempts on the test rigs at our location or, if necessary, by commissioning external service providers
* You take on technology screening, patent applications and patent evaluation in your work area

Experience and qualification:
* You have successfully completed university degree in electrical engineering, electromobility, electrical & information technology or comparable
* Development experience in the automotive sector
* Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262)
* Ideally, you have knowledge of ECE R-100, MBN LV 123, MBN 11123 & MBN 20123, IEC 60664-1, ISO 20653
* You are characterized by independence and self-motivation
* You are fluent in English and in German
