We are looking for an Automotive engineering professional specialising in detailed customer requirements development, to join our Clients new transport decolonisation product development project in Surrey.

The role:

Hybrid three days on site.

The Requirement Manager will support a range of activities, working across our commercial and engineering departments to identify opportunities & validate ideas through product discovery.

Experience Requirements:

* Knowledge about the Automotive requirements processes, and typical tools (e.g. DOORS)
* Experience in software development processes (no coding or software writing required)
* Ability to precisely formulate customer requirements/specifications
* Ability to structure information and describe it on the right level of abstraction
* Experience with automotive mechatronic Systems (Ideally)

Job Responsibilities:

* Analyse and understand customer requirement documents and change requests
* Discuss customer requirements with internal and external stakeholders, clarify open points and details
* Derive and specify new system requirements
* Present new requirements to stakeholders and prepare decision papers
* Actively walk through new requirements with the technical experts to clarify their understanding and impact
* Maintain the trace ability of the requirements for the entire V-cycle
* Responsible to manage lists of requirements, follow up open points and track them to closure
* Support the definition and improvement of processes, methods and tools for requirements management

This role will suit a Product Manager, Requirements Engineer or Automotive Product Specialists who has experience capturing requirements and scaling up old and new product ranges.

As the business is a start up, it will be advantageous for candidates to have gained previous experience of business growth strategy implementation.
