​Piper Maddox has been engaged in an exclusive confidential search, by one of the fastest growing solar IPPs in the US.

The organization was founded in the late 2000s as a turnkey solar+storage solutions provider and have been on a steady track record of growth since their foundation. While they started as a small shop, primarily working on small scale C&I assets within the local geography, they have now grown to the point of a full end-to-end renewable energy IPP, with both holistic and individual development, engineering, procurement, and construction services offered to their clientele.

They've developed over 100MW up to this point and have fully operational projects up and running in 11 states, with plans for more. Recently, the company was acquired by one of the most reputable and experienced financiers of renewable assets, as a result of their decade-long track record of high-quality development and project optimization…with the balance sheet of a multi-billion-dollar fund now at their side, they are poised for huge growth in the 2020s and beyond.

They are looking for a VP of Project Finance to take complete autonomy over the organization's financing, and interface with banks, and financial institutions to secure debt & equity funding for their growing pipeline. The role's focus would be to originate the structures of this funding agreements through higher-level financial modelling, and then presenting results to stakeholders & investors to demonstrate the ROI potential and long-term viability of the transaction.

The ideal candidate would have:

o 7+ years of professional experience in renewable energy project finance

o Expert-level skill, as well as conceptual understanding of financial modelling, specifically with tax equity and complex financing considerations

o Senior management experience

o The ability to travel up to 50% of the time
