Piper Maddox has partnered with a transportation, logistics, heavy duty equipment, real-estate, and fleet management holding company operating in the US and Canada on an exclusive search for a VP of Sales & Leasing.
Reporting directly to the President, this role will provide strategic and tactical leadership to grow the company's leasing business, working with the firm's network of 35 retail and wholesale truck and trailer locations across North America.
This role can be worked remotely from within the US or Canada, with the option for in person work at one of the firm's 35 brick-and-mortar locations.
Develop, direct, and execute a full cycle, company-wide National Account sales plan targeting fleet owners and operators. This shall include developing sales targets and setting priorities, creating national account sales support materials, utilizing a CRM to track sales contacts and pipeline, coordinating pricing and quoting, and managing the conversation process between contract and delivery.
Identify potential trucking, fleet, and EV customers based on market and competitor analysis; set sales and performance targets, monitor pipeline vs. budget, keep management apprised of weekly/monthly budget achievement and variance
Create pricing models with finance and distribution that ensures achievement of revenue and gross-margin objectives
Establish sales model and playbook for product, pricing, and process to grow a scalable sales organization, working in close collaboration with business unit leadership, marketing, IT, and product teams
Lead strategic sales planning process to develop annual branding strategy and advertising campaigns through creative messaging that captures the attention of dealers and consumers
Represent voice of the customer internally, addressing customer needs in product and service quality, cost, and functionality.
Collaborate with C-Suite leadership
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, liberal arts, or comparable. Advance business degree is a plus.
10+ years of professional experience selling and utilizing financing products/services to support customers
Leasing sales leadership experience within a capital/specialty equipment manufacturer, bank, or finance company which goes to market through a dealership network
Strong business acumen, including financial and budgeting capabilities; a focus on measuring and metrics
Ability to travel nationwide to meeting with customers and stakeholders
