Piper Maddox is thrilled to partner with one of the foremost pioneers in the eVTOL aircraft industry, embarking on a mission to change the future of the Aerospace industry. They are currently looking to recruit an Aerospace Systems Safety Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis. This important hire will join a team of 7 Safety Engineers concentrated on ensuring all systems are developed in accordance with relevant certification standards. This strategic position is vital to completing their flagship aircraft and is instrumental in enabling type certification for their current and future aircraft. As a Aerospace Systems Safety Engineer, you will:

* Conducting safety analyses, such as PSSA (Preliminary System Safety Assessment) and SSA (System Safety Assessment).
* Creating and preparing system-level analyses, including FHA (Functional Hazard Assessment), FTA (Fault Tree Analysis), FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), and FCA (Functional Configuration Audit).
* Acting as the primary contact for coordinating safety activities with external suppliers, including reviewing and accepting documents.
* Supporting validation and verification activities for system requirements according to ARP-4754A standards.
* Participating in system- or component-level milestones, such as design reviews (e.g., PDR/Preliminary Design Review, CDR/Critical Design Review, TRR/Test Readiness Review).
* Identifying and evaluating safety concerns related to new design architectures.
* Assisting with formal audits and engagements with regulatory bodies like EASA.


We are looking for:

* Engineering degree, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering.
* Knowledge of ARP4761 and ARP4754A regulations.
* Proven experience in:
o Aviation safety and reliability assessments (FHA, FTA, FMEA, etc.).
o Systems engineering or V-model processes in complex product development.
* Experience in aircraft systems, engines, or complete aircraft development and certification.
* Strong team player with solid communication skills.
* Full proficiency in English.
